The Central Coast Mariners recorded a comprehensive 4-0 victory over Adelaide United in the A-League at Hindmarsh Stadium on Friday.
The Mariners were never threatened by the hosts as they cruised to a 3-0 lead at half-time courtesy of goals from Mustafa Amini, Bernie Ibini and Patrick Zwaanswijk, before Rostyn Griffiths completed the rout in the second-half.
Amini, on loan from Bundesliga outfit Borussia Dortmund, was pivotal in attack, providing the spark for the Mariners in the romp.
The 18-year-old got his reward on the half-hour when he neatly finished in a one-on-one with goalkeeper Eugene Galekovic after a Pedj Bojic through pass.
Adelaide barely had time to regroup when Ibini made it 2-0 just three minutes later, smashing Michael McGlinchey's cut-back into the roof of the net.
It only got worse for Adelaide in the 38th minute when Ibini won a penalty after being pulled back by defender Jonathan McKain.
Dutch centre-back Zwaanswijk stepped up and smashed the spot-kick past a helpless Galekovic, before Griffiths nodded in the fourth on 65 minutes.
