The 299th Kolkata derby on sunday Came to an end as Mohun Bagan beat East Bengal 1-0.
Although East Bengal created more chances but Sangram Mukherjee showed some exceptional goalkeepering and helps his side won the first Kolkata derby of the season in front of more than 90000 spectators.
The first goal of the match came in the 21st minute,as Sunil Chettri was braught down by the Nigerian defender Uga Samuel Okpara within the penalty box,The penalty was beautifully taken by Odafa Onyeka Okolie and sealed the victory for them,as it turns out to be the only goal of the match.
Mohun Bagan has move up to the second spot after this win with 15 points,while East Bengal goes down to 6th spot with 10 points.
