Tottenham Hotspurs now at the third position in the League table,as they beat Aston Villa 2-0 yesterday.
Striker Adebayor could have completed his hat-trick here,as his streak of not scoring in the past seven games ended here with two great goals.
The first goal of the match came in the 14th minute of the game,when Lennon pass found Adebayor,and after showing some great technique in the six yard box,the togolese striker finishes the ball in the net.
Adebayor scored his second just five minutes before the half-time,when a well crossed ball by Gareth Bale was deflected up and over Given by defender James Collins, leaving Adebayor the simplest of close-range finishes.
Adebayor do got loads of chances later in the match to complete his hat-trick,but was not successfull.
This win takes Tottenham to the third spot in the Premier League,as they are now just four points behind Manchester UTD and nine points behing Manchester City.
Meanwhile,Aston Villa now stands at the eight spot.
